Cavern and Cave Training

Your first overhead course: guideline use, buoyancy and propulsion techniques, and emergency drills within the natural light zone. Prerequisites: Open Water Diver, 18 years old, 25 logged dives. Depth to 70 ft (21 m), penetration limited to 200 ft (60 m) of line. Minimum 2 days.

Beyond the light zone on the main line with a single gas, no jumps or gaps, and penetration limited to one third of a single cylinder or one sixth of doubles. Prerequisites: Cavern Diver, 18 years old, 25 logged dives. Depth to 130 ft (40 m). Minimum 2 days.

Complex navigation with jumps, gaps, circuits, and traverses, full rule-of-thirds gas planning, and multi-failure emergency management. Prerequisites: Intro to Cave, 18 years old. Depth to 130 ft (40 m). Minimum 4 days.

Cavern and Intro to Cave taught back to back, the efficient path from open water to your first cave dives. Prerequisites: Open Water Diver, 18 years old, 25 logged dives. Depth to 130 ft (40 m). Minimum 3 days.

Extend penetration with a stage cylinder: stage gas planning, drop and pickup procedures, and managing additional failure points. Prerequisites: Full Cave with logged cave dives since certification, 18 years old. Depth to 130 ft (40 m). Minimum 2 days.
